Big Sur 5K - 2011

Staci and I did the Big Sur 5K again for the second year in a row. This is one amazing race! This year it was a little warmer so early in the morning! The weather was great, you really couldn't ask for it to be better! The run went great and we improved our time by 5 min. over last years run. We were happy with the results! It is really one of the most beautiful places here on earth and it is a blessing to run around through it! : )

Sky High San Jose

Sky High in San Jose is an amazing place. It is a kids dream come true, even when you are in your 30's! : ) It is a warehouse filled with these huge tramlines on the ground and on the walls, a foam pit and an area with tramlines that you bounce off of as you play dodge ball! Also video games and a snack bar, can't forget those! We went for my friend Lisa's birthday and we all agree we want to go back!

Tea Party - April 29, 2011

Some friends we got together to do an English Tea on the day of the royal wedding - April 29, 2011. It was so fun and nice to go through that history and historical day together. We loved watching the reviews of the day, hearing and seeing about her gown and all those "hats"! : ) I will remember where I was that day of the wedding of Prince William and Kate and the wonderful friends I was with! And it brought back memories of traveling to dear England!

Easter 2011

Had a great Easter 2011 with family in town! We explored Santa Cruz, San Jose and Half Moon Bay a bit during the week they were here! In Half Moon Bay we even ran into a "royal couple" ; ) Was a great holiday!

Beautiful and Amazing Belize! Believe it!

I have been home now for about a week from Belize and I miss it! I miss hearing the ocean meet the shore when I go to bed and when I wake up, the quiet peaceful mornings, hearing boats come up to the dock and wondering who just got here! I miss the relaxing feel and the wonderful people that work at YWAM Destination Paradise - Belize!

Traveling . . . yes I have the bug!

I love traveling to places I have never been before! Love seeing and doing things in this life that I will always remember! So . . . this March I get to go visit a good friend and old co-worker who is working with YWAM down in Central America at a YWAM base in Belize! I am so excited to go and see this part of the world and visit and explore parts of this country with someone there I know! As it gets closer or on the return, I will be able to share more about activities we will do or have done! We will mainly be on the island of Ambergris Caye in Belize. Happy travels await!

Hearst Castle Trip, Cambria and HWY 1

Just this past Sunday - Tuesday I was down further on the California Central Coast in the Cambria area with a good old college friend. We explored, visited Heart Castle, ate, shopped, walked and just had a nice relaxing time in a beautiful area.

Hearst Castle was amazing and we had a great tour guide who made it even more fun! We made it as far south as Morro Bay, but the rock was all fogged in, so we didn't get to see the famous Morro Bay rock, but oh well! We had great fish and chips and taffy as well! Then I had a wonderful curvy drive home north on HWY 1 with the ocean as my view most of the way. Some of the time I was up above the fog, like flying, was very cool!
